I have received a message from Alison Sparks on the old ISHK.ORG website.

 

"This is to let you know that Clifford Kirby Sparks who was Head of Chemistry 1970 to 1972 and Head of Science 1972 to 1974, passed away on 25th November 2007 aged 67, after a long and increasingly debilitating illness.  There may be a number of staff and students from those years who would remember him."

 

Our condolences from Islanders all over the world that remember "Mr Sparks".

 

Alison is also the daughter of Beryl Fairey (my old music teacher), and she says her mother is still going strong at the age of 81, and living in Lincoln.
